Features

The brake is an electromagnetic disc design powered by DC current through a rectifier located in the terminal box; when the brake coil is de-energised, spring pressure applies the brake automatically. ABB states that the range offers compact construction, braking torque from 5 to 235 Nm, IP55 motor protection with IP54 protection for the brake mechanics, IC411 cooling, Class F insulation with temperature rise class B, hand release as an option, and operation in any mounting position. The published tables cover IE2 and IE3 versions at 400 V, 50 Hz, and ABB’s product page lists a voltage range from 220 V to 690 V.
